Artist Copy reflection

During the first part of the project, the artist copy I initially struggled. I had a difficult time with selecting the artists and piece that aligned with my vison for what I wanted to create. I eventually landed on a piece by John S. Sargent. The intensity, diversity and expressiveness of Sargent's lines are what drew me to the piece. After I selected the the piece I struggled with the proportions of the figure, though I eventually solved the issue using the projector. During the final step, the portrait I didn't have any struggles I just made the mistake of waiting till the last minute. Because I was rushed on time I didn't give ample time to shading details causing my shading to be messy and inaccurate. In turn I found the project enhanced my observational drawing skills, I earned to find the motion of the figure through the picture and transfer it into the drawing.
